Add "Priority" to Apple Mail Toolbar

Frustrated with having to go to the dropdown menu and select a priority every time you need to mark a message as “important” for a recipient?

Here’s how you can permanently add the “Priority” selector to the Mail toolbar.

  1. First, open a new message.

  2. Next, click on the “Visible Header Fields” dropdown, usually located near the top left corner of your message window.

  3. Select “Priority Field” and make sure that it has a check mark next to it.

  4. That’s it. Now, the “Priority Field” should appear in your Mail toolbar every time you open a message. It will usually appear to the right side of the “Subject” field.
